Shipping information

Pricing is for orders within the Continental United Sates. All other orders will be calculated on a per order basis.

• A Shade Brighter and Affordable Home OUTLET offers the option for store pickup. If you live in Virginia or will be in the Smith Mountain Lake area, you have the ability to select "Store Pickup" for your shipping option. Please allow 2-3 days for orders to be processed. You will be notified when your order is ready for pick up.
• Orders are shipped via UPS ground to every address in the 48 contiguous states. We ship most orders within 3 business days. Please call us for estimates for next day shipping charges.
• Credit card orders will not be charged until the order is shipped.
• Sales tax of 5% will be applied to all orders shipped to a Virginia address.
• Shipping costs for orders within the Continental U.S. are calculated automatically by UPS based entirely on the size and weight of each item, and the zip code to where the merchandise will be shipped.  UPS charges additional fees for residential delivery or very rural areas.   A Shade Brighter and Affordable Home OUTLET has no control over these freight charges.   We do not charge excess handling fees.  The freight costs are our actual expenses. 
• Some of our merchandise cannot be shipped via UPS.  Those items state THIS ITEM FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.  SHIPPING IS NOT AVAILABLE.  These items may only be picked up at our stores.

Return Policy

• A Shade Brighter and Affordable Home OUTLET are happy to accept returns for damaged or defective products.  If an item arrives damaged by the delivery company, please refuse shipment due to damage. Make notes on the bill of laiding and it will then be returned automatically to us. Please notify us via e-mail of the damage immediately and we will get a replacement shipped out to you. If you don¿t refuse the shipment of a damaged item, please contact our store immediately for instructions. If your merchandise arrives defective, please notify us via e-mail and we will issue a call tag for pickup. We will send a replacement out to you. If you want to return the product for any other reason, you will receive a full refund minus a restocking fee of $5.00 or 25% (whichever is greater) plus the shipping costs.
• Returns must be made within 7 days of receipt of merchandise. A Shade Brighter and Affordable Home OUTLET do not offer refunds after 7 days from the date you received the order.
• Your credit card will be credited within 10 business days of receiving your return shipment.
• Due to variations in administrative practices of credit card companies, please allow up to two full billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.
• Please include a copy of your original packing slip invoice along with a short note telling us why you're returning the item.
• Return shipments that do not meet the above will be refused and returned.
